The medallion has been left behind, though, and is found by Abbott and Costello, who attempt to sell it. However, two of Semu's men, Iben (Mel Welles) and Hetsut (Richard Karlan), murder the doctor and steal the mummy just before Abbott and Costello arrive. The followers of Klaris, led by Semu (Richard Deacon), overhear the conversation along with Madame Rontrou (Marie Windsor), a businesswoman interested in stealing the treasure of Princess Ara.Ībbott and Costello go to the doctor's house to apply for the position to accompany the mummy back to America. Apparently the mummy has a sacred medallion that shows where the treasure of Princess Ara can be found. He even gushed about his co-star Rachel Weisz, that if given an opportunity he would love to team up again with her on it. When asked about it, Brendan did sympathize with Universal’s attempt but was all in if they had to kickstart The Mummy 4. This decision coincided with the time when Marvel’s Cinematic Universe was starting out due to which the dark reboot of The Mummy starring Tom Cruise didn’t work out at all. However, Universal instead thought of pursuing a cinematic universe altogether. It was a genuine possibility that the fourth part would have been made since the third part earned over $401.1 million worldwide. Taking that in mind, the ultimate mummy fight off would have been with a mummy of the Aztec who was aiming for the pursuit of worldwide eternity. After moving the franchise to China, it seemed that the fourth part of the movie might have its locations changed again, and found Rick O’ Connell along Evelyn O’ Connell (Rachel Weisz) in South America. What we as fans did miss out on was the fact that there really might have been a Mummy 4 for real. For him, filming for The Mummy series has always been fun and he would enjoy it.
While many think of whether The Mummy 4 would really return back, Brendan Fraser was seen excited enough to say yes for resuming work for The Mummy 4 if people would want to have it back. The Mummy and The Mummy Returns were two movies that were set in Egypt itself after which the franchise moved to China. The Mummy trilogy stood as Universal’s one of the most successful movies given that they were a first attempt towards the lineage of Universal Monsterous characters. He cast in all three movies for The Mummy that have been released until now, which tells his ever-lasting history with The Mummy franchise. Starring as the very brave and adventurous Rick O’ Connel, Brendan Fraser has forever been the poster face for The Mummy movie trilogy.
